Cohort 2 Application Process

 

Requirements

Potential candidates must have the following credentials in order to be considered:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (with required coursework) from an accredited college or university
  • 2.7 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 grading scale)
  • A desire to teach in a public school for at least 3 years
  • No previous full-time teaching experience
  • No prior coursework in the field of Education
  • Passing scores on the Praxis I and Praxis II(Content) Examinations
  • You must pass ALL 3 parts of the PRAXIS I Exam (Reading, Writing, Mathematics)
  • If you are selected to interview for RtT, passing scores for the PRAXIS II (Content Knowledge) Exam must be reported

Application Submission Checklist

To successfully submit your application, potential candidates must submit the following documents to be considered for Cohort 2:

    • Ready to Teach Program Application
    • Praxis I Scores
      • Reading
      • Writing
      • Math
    • Official Transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended
    • 3 Letters of Recommendation
    • Autobiographical Sketch (1 page)
    • Letter of Interest (1 page)
    • Resume
